The mission of Needville United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. The church will be 117 years old this year and consequently is a unique blend of past and present. The church was founded in 1892 and currently has over 200 members. An historical marker, placed in front of the sanctuary in 1992, indicates that NUMC is the oldest Methodist congregation in Fort Bend County.

THE PICTURE TELLS THE STORY

I am putting together a scrapbook for 2009 and will continue in 2010. If you have any photos that you took during the year, I would like to have a copy of them. I will return the original photo(s).

Having pictures is a great way to know the story of the church- it's the people, it's programs and it's service to the community. Please share your photos with me and I will share them with the church.

Were you or someone in your family confirmed in this church? I am looking for group pictures of the confirmation classes over the years. I would like to take a copy of it and then later have all of the group pictures framed so that we can display them as part of our story. Please identify all the persons in the photograph on a seperate piece of paper. The photos will be a great addition showing the history of our church.
